My SD Learning Strategy

Happy Learning.......!

Class topper... First ranker.....  Gold medalist....  Award winner......

I am not any one of these. I am an average student/learner.

For learning anything we need mainly the following points:

  • Interest towards the subject we are learning
  • Time Management for learning
  • Refer the books/online articles/blogs
  • Exercise the possible scenarios

For learning SAP SD through online there are so many e-books / articles / blogs / Youtube videos.

However these books will help us to learn the concepts most of us are not sure how to use all these concepts.

So.... in learning SAP SD my strategy is as simple as follows:

First of all follow some good books to learn the key words and what are the concepts we have in SAP standard process. Mainly understand the business cycle.

The big issue is with configurations in the background of SAP for SD and next is with cycles creation.

While learning the subject by practicing them in SAP sandpit system, the most and foremost thing is we need to be ready to face all the issues.

Deleting is very easy where as creating any thing is difficult. So while creating SAP cycles we will face so many warnings statements and mainly error statements. Errors stop further SAP SD processing.

Human tendency is to leave the concept in the middle, if it is difficult or if errors are coming. What we need to do in this situation??????

Google will help us with this issue. Type the error which you got on the google page and search for it. We can see so many search results which match your question. Go through each one and get a solution.

What ever i learn daily in SAP SD I will post them in these blogs, with step by step procedure, errors i got and solutions i searched though sites, references and example screenshots if possible.

Learn  along with me if you are also in the situation of mine..... I believe in combined studies.... Lets learn in a global platform. Lets remove language barrier in doing so...... Please ignore mistakes in grammar if you found any.

I would like to take suggestions/criticism/involvement from all of you about my daily learning blogs....! please comment.....

My First Post....!

Dear All,

Happy Learning.....!

I am Vinny. I completed my Masters in Computer Applications (MCA). Presently working in SAP SD. Total change from a complete technical back ground to a functional background.

After my Post graduation i joined so many institutes to learn some technical languages and coding in these languages. Here i mentioned learning coding in these languages again because as a student you know most of us will learn theory and practice code snippets only for exams. But for getting job that is not sufficient right! So......!

After 6 months of my PG completion finally...... i got a job in a multi national company. But fate took me into other direction. Requirement is more in SAP in that company at that time so they trained me in SAP ABAP module. I am not disappointed much because after all it is also a technical module. In fact i am happy that I had an opportunity to learn new technology in coding.

It's not over yet, after that with in two months they re-skilled me in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) module. Which is a total functional and has nothing to do with coding. On top of it need to understand the business scenarios. I was like whats happening with me. May be because of this disappointment i haven't learned SD concepts properly.

What makes me more surprise is, i am working on SD concept without learning it properly (with out learning i mean it).

Still I am in learning state of SD.

However now am I not at all disappointed. I don't want to leave the stream which i am working though i had chance to change to my favorite technical language. I am happy with what i am doing and more open to new functional modules to learn & work.

There are so many people like me around the world, who did their graduation / post graduation in one module and working in a complete different module. If you are one of us don't worry at all.

I can imagine well how you felt in the initial days of working or presently facing this situation. One best suggestion you will listen for your situation from your loved ones: "Try once! If you are not able to then try to change to your own interest"!!!!!!!

Don't run away from the challenges face them!

I learned it from my own life....! I need help from you all as well in keeping our lives more strong....!

I know some mistakes are there in my post but i am not concerned about them I am more concerned about the content and how far it is reaching you all. My main agenda is learn and for that first lets remove this language barrier.

I am not saying we will learn very new and unique lessons over here but the lessons which are all around us but not recognized by us. Most of the time its human tendency to learn/find things when others mention it. Every one of us might had a situation where we felt as "yahhhh! i know this but now i recognized it".

So lets start learning SAP SD and Life lessons in this blog.

All the people out there, who are courageous mentally ..... I appreciate it if you comment your own/ known life experiences to become strong world community. Our life experience may teach others who not yet faced these challenges.....!

I would like to take suggestions from all of you about my first post....! please comment
